Empowering youth through horsemanship.

Supporting leadership development and breaking economic barriers

Gallop Forward Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to enriching the lives of Mexican youth by providing scholarships for horsemanship classes. Our mission is to offer these young individuals the chance to develop valuable skills, build confidence, and explore new opportunities through equestrian training. Join us in creating brighter futures for these talented students.

Our Story

Hi, my name is Walker Franklin and I’m the founder of the non-profit Gallop Forward Foundation. Our journey started in the summer of 2022 when I first visted a ranch in Jilotepec called Rancho Saex. During my time working and learning to ride, I grew an appreciation for the Mexican vaquero tradition and the cultural significance it carries. Having come back to the United States, and with the help of Rancho Saex we recognized an opportunity to provide scholarships for Mexican youth who may not have had the chance to enter the equestrian world due to financial difficulties. Thus the Gallop Forward Foundation was born.

Sponsorship

With the generous support of our sponsors, the Gallop Forward Foundation seeks to asisst rural Mexican youth in the pursuit of horsemanship skills. By offering financial assistance for activities such as horse riding and rodeo lessons, we enable these children to explore their interests and develop valuable skills, which in turns provide them with character development and access to a community fostering an environment dedicated to resiliency and leadership.

Establishing Career Networks

Our programs not only equip participants with valuable education and training but also provide access to career opportunities in agriculture. Through partnerships with businesses, we facilitate internships, job placements, and networking events, enabling participants to explore various career paths and connect with industry professionals.

“With the support from the Gallop Forward Foundation, children and teenagers in our community have better access to opportunities that would not have been possible.”
