Horsemanship Lessons
The horsemanship lessons offered by The Gallop Forward Foundation provide rural Mexican youth with a unique opportunity to learn valuable skills while fostering a deeper connection to their cultural heritage. Tailored to youth aged 8-18, these lessons are designed to instill principles of respect, responsibility, and empathy towards animals, emphasizing a "softer touch" approach to horse handling. Led by experienced instructors and mentors, the lessons cover a range of topics including horse care, grooming, tacking, and riding techniques. Through hands-on activities and interactive sessions, participants develop confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, while also gaining a sense of accomplishment. By engaging with horses in a safe and supportive environment, youth not only learn practical skills but also cultivate important life lessons that will serve them well in their personal and professional endeavors.
